Success only happens for and to relevant people…
Being relevant is what makes you important… Needed… Sought-after …
What are you doing? What difference are you making? What questions are you answering? What problems are you solving? What solutions are you proffering? What VALUE or beauty are you adding? What exactly are you doing!
If SUCCESS was a gift, would you deserve it?
If it was a HONORARY DEGREE, would you have earned it?
It is highly criminal and irresponsible to expect what you don’t deserve, to want to manifest things for which you ain’t prepared…
Success is a result of relevance … Relevance provokes results and patronage… Results commands respect!
Success is a proof of relevance and only fools doubts proofs!
If you ain’t seeing success yet, then reappraise yourself and judiciously study the great story in the Book of Luke Chapter 15 from verse 11 down to 24:
Then he said, “There was once a man who had two sons. The younger said to his father, ‘Father, I want right now what’s coming to me.’ “So the father divided the property between them. It wasn’t long before the younger son packed his bags and left for a distant country. There, undisciplined and dissipated, he wasted everything he had. After he had gone through all his money, there was a bad famine all through that country and he began to hurt. He signed on with a citizen there who assigned him to his fields to slop the pigs. He was so hungry he would have eaten the corncobs in the pig slop, but no one would give him any. “That brought him to his senses. He said, ‘All those farmhands working for my father sit down to three meals a day, and here I am starving to death. I’m going back to my father. I’ll say to him, Father, I’ve sinned against God, I’ve sinned before you; I don’t deserve to be called your son. Take me on as a hired hand.’ He got right up and went home to his father. “When he was still a long way off, his father saw him. His heart pounding, he ran out, embraced him, and kissed him. The son started his speech: ‘Father, I’ve sinned against God, I’ve sinned before you; I don’t deserve to be called your son ever again.’ “But the father wasn’t listening. He was calling to the servants, ‘Quick. Bring a clean set of clothes and dress him. Put the family ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Then get a grain-fed heifer and roast it. We’re going to feast! We’re going to have a wonderful time! My son is here—given up for dead and now alive! Given up for lost and now found!’ And they began to have a wonderful time… (The Message Bible)
The point in this story amongst many others is that this young man came to his senses!
Have you EVER come to yours? Have you ever looked inwards? Have you ever really told YOURSELF the TRUTH? Well,… I am telling you the truth today that you could loose your potential relevance to nonchalance and indiscipline if you don’t sit-up and face those challenges and diligently ensure that you become your best.
Your “irrelevance” is a direct function of your level of ” indiscipline”. If you are going to mean anything or be anything then you must embrace discipline and WORK ON YOURSELF DAILY till you have a different result.
I hear people say “Life ain’t fair”, funny as it sounds, its very true but only for the in disciplined. It may not be fair to you but its fun to a few others… Your life is now in your hands, the ball is in your court, don’t let it spin out of control. There has to be something you are doing regularly to ensure that you succeed.
Also note, if you lose your relevance, you lose your usefulness … Your worth … Your significance … You ability and power to succeed!
Most often than not, your peculiar relevance is encoded in your personality… Your identity… Do you really know who you are? If you don’t, chances are that you may live the rest of your life beating around the bush without hitting the mark. This a valid place to begin from, its a journey called ” the journey of SELF DISCOVERY”.
